They include over eating, being inactive, eating foods high in carbohydrates and sodium, lack of sleep, and stress eating.  The first step to making a change is to identify the problem.  Take a moment to assess your life and see if you are doing any of the above.  Then start making specific goals and begin to make a change.  Changing your lifestyle is hard, but if you make small changes over time you will have success.

                    Exercise is essential to living a healthy lifestyle and maintaining a healthy weight.  Getting at least 30minutes of exercise 3x weekly is recommended.  You can start with less time like 15minutes 2x weekly and increase overtime.  It's important to incorporate cardio and resistance training.  Your heartrate has to become elevated above its normal rate.  Make sure you stretch prior and wear proper shoes.  Also, make sure you stay hydrated.  Exercise helps to improve you overall cardiovascular system, boost energy, boost metabolism, improves mood, and improves blood sugars and cholesterol. It is also a great way to maintain a healthy weight. Here is a list of great ways to get exercise. Stregnth training also helps to maintain musle tone, improve joints and bones, ,reduce body fat, etc. Doing both cardio and resistance training will give you the best results.  Start today!
